I was station at San Juan and Sabana Sacia in 65/66. I would like to find some of the guys I served with. Like Baker, Silva, Johnson Williams,Thompson. Good names huh??? Must be a million of each. I was a Cpl. when I left on Thanksgiving Day in 66, was sent to the Great Lakes Naval Station Hospital. Worked in the brig their and then went to Lejuane. I went to Nam in 67/68. Looking forward to finding some of these guys. Sgt. Terry L.Lacy, A Co. 1st Plt. 26 Marines, Semper Fi

As with Nam, I don't recall to many names, just faces and moments. Not the best of my USMC experiance. I was sort of out of control. 1969/1972 was a contradictory time for a lot of warriors. My state side duty left much to be desired. In Nam, where it meant beaucoup, had 4.8 Pro/Con marks. My MOS was 2533: In Nam I was attached to 1st Force Recon as a radio humper for 3 months, then 9 months as a 14(TACP) operator with 2/1, Quang Nam province. My time was split up between the Base Comm. Center and Echo, Fox,Golf and Hotel. My main memories are booby traps, medevacs, resupplys, Bob Hope, Joey Heatherton, USS Sanctuary and USS Repose. Some Marines I remember in San Juan are: McMillian, Jenko, Duran, Ayala, Rosario, J.D.Don, Jim Cole, Sgt.Taylor, Sgt.Baker, Lt.Col.D.C. Binney: (he promoted and busted me in the same year.I hear he passed away in 1999.) I was married at the time, and lived off base, about a mile away, in the Condado section of San Juan. I remember a bar called The Hawaiian Hut, right outside the main gate. I was an Admiral's Compound Guard, Main Gate Guard, Operations Center Guard. Excellent duty, especially if you loved the beach!! If you remember me or just want to share some memories, feel free to email me. Semper Fi !!!

My Name is Darrin J. Brown aka (Dee Jay) Pvt Brown. I was at Sabana Seca when the school bus was attacked and alot of my friends lost their life. I remeber it clear I was on the reactionary force that was the first to arrive at the bus and bring it back to base. Im looking for Pvt. Long who was from the bronx.
