My name is Lee Tannehill. I worked on the gates and was the barracks barber for one year from may 1966 thru may 1967. I have an old picture in front of the barracks with all members. I dont know if it was 66 or 67. Have several other pictures around the barracks. Many old stories like the first time I cut hair the Sgt. Major, volunteered. I cut hair in the old brig downstairs and when I got done the Marines upstairs had a great laugh, I didnt think it was funny and neither did the Sgt. Major.

I am interested in locating and attempting a reunion of Marines stationed at the Marine Barracks, San Francisco Naval Ship Yard. I went up there several years ago only to find the Yard closed! Thank you for any information you have on the Barracks where I was stationed for over three years in the 50's.

I was stationed there from 63 to 65. We put in our own club during this time - Navy did not want us using theirs for some reason. In 64 I was the youngest Marine at the birthday ball. Would like to share old war stories....
